Using Acrobat Reader To Fill In Fields on Interactive Forms
-
- The newer versions of Reader have a Highlight Fields button. To see the
form fields using older versions, highlight them by clicking Edit,
Preferences, Forms, and checking the Highlight Form Fields box.
-
- Use the Tab key to advance through the fields. Shift-Tab moves
backwards through the fields.
-
- The mouse will click into a text field or insert a checkmark into a check box field.
-
- All spaces and boxes requiring information should have a
field. If the Tab key skips over an item you need,
try using the mouse to click into the field.
-
- The information you add to the form cannot be saved
using Reader, but can be printed. A purchased Acrobat
program is required to save a document with added information.
