Using Acrobat Reader To Fill In Fields on Interactive Forms

The newer versions of Reader have a Highlight Fields button.   To see the form fields using older versions, highlight them by clicking Edit, Preferences, Forms, and checking the Highlight Form Fields box.

Use the Tab key to advance through the fields.  Shift-Tab moves backwards through the fields.

The mouse will click into a text field or insert a checkmark into a check box field.

All spaces and boxes requiring information should have a field. If the Tab key skips over an item you need, try using the mouse to click into the field.

The information you add to the form cannot be saved using Reader, but can be printed. A purchased Acrobat program is required to save a document with added information.
